Christmas/Thank You Card

I made this card for an elderly man who donated 17 cases of canned cat food to Heaven To Betsy's Rescue! It was such a generous donation, to which we are very thankful for! Heaven To Betsy's is a rescue group that I volunteer with that fosters mostly cats and afew dogs. I help with fund raising for the group. I could never foster because I would never be able to let the animals leave my house after fostering them!

Snow Day

Well today is a snow day! Currently, it's thundering during this winter storm! It's a messy day out there! With a snow day, at least I'll have snow removal help!! Today, we are going to bake cookies!

Published!

I was thrilled to receive my complimentary issue of Just Cards! winter issue. A card I made was published on page 34! I have learned that when sending in cards, don't use the watermark technique because you can't see it in the picture in the magazine.

Domino Ornaments

I just love making ornaments! These are made from dominoes. You can't see the sides very well, but I used colored microbeads from Penny Wise Arts on the sides. I love all the Christmas stamps!!

Another Domino Ornament.
We've all been sick lately but today I felt better so I went to the grocery store this morning. I had loaded everything into the trunk and was putting my shopping cart into the 'cart corral', when I turned around and noticed that the parking lot had filled up with squad cars! Officers were getting out of their cars with weapons drawn and running for the grocery store! I thought now is a good time to run for the car and leave quickly! Although a good portion of the parking lot was blocked, so I didn't get far. Afew minutes later, the officers came running out and chased a van a little way before it stopped and the man got out and surrendered. What craziness! We live in a fairly quiet neighborhood where you know most people.

What has happened to people? Is it the hard economic times? This is the Christmas season! A time of joy! I guess there alot of people out there who just don't know the Lord.

On a good note, my neighbor was so sweet and shoveled my snow this morning!! I'll post some pictures soon! The snow is really beautiful!
